Resource Directory

Cover of 2019 Directory of Resources

The Directory of Resources for Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities is the most comprehensive, carefully researched, objective, and trusted senior publication in the Triangle area. It brings together in one publication information about the full range of services and programs available to older and disabled adults in Wake County.

Businesses do not, and cannot, pay to be included in the directory. Instead, we attempt to provide the most comprehensive, complete information available. On the other hand, we rely on community partners to help us underwrite the cost of the publication. If your company is interested in being a sponsor of the 2018 directory, please contact Scott Waterhouse.

Single copies of the resource directory are free to Wake County older adults and their caregivers. Directories may be picked up from our main office on Navaho Drive, or from any of our other locations. (Call before going to locations other than the main office, to make sure copies are available).

See maps page for a map showing all of our locations.

If you're unable to come pick one up, call our Information Department at 713-1556 to request a copy by mail. A small donation will be requested to cover postage costs.

Businesses or other organizations interested in multiple copies should contact Scott Waterhouse for information, at 919-713-1564 or by email. Multiple copies must be picked up at our main office; we do not ship or deliver boxes of directories.

You can also download a PDF version of this year's directory. This is an interactive PDF, so you can click a page number in the Index or Table of Contents to go to that page. Also, website links in the document are live and will take you to the referenced websites. The document is also viewable on tablets and smart phones, though external website links may not work on those devices. Please note that this is a large file and it may be very slow to download for users on slower connections.

NEW in December 2016, Spanish and Korean versions of the directory are also available now!

In addition to a directory of contact information for many agencies, this publication includes a Reference Section with many useful checklists and materials to assist with decision-making. Some of these are available as separate, smaller, PDF documents here:

Even more detailed information about services for seniors is available in our online resource directory.
