Wake County Emergency Medical Services offers all Wake County residents relief from the direct cost of ambulance services at a cost of $60 per year subscription fee. All permanent residents of the household can receive emergency 911 ambulance service anywhere in Wake County as many times as needed. (Does NOT include non-emergency or air transports.) Insurance will be billed for each trip, but payment of the subscription fee relieves subscriber of any direct costs of 911 ambulance services not paid for by insurance. It is not necessary to subscribe in order to receive emergency 911 transport. The plan covers all members of your household from 2 days after receipt of payment, and ends on October 31 of the next year. Re-enrollment forms are mailed out annually in the fall. When you receive your form, fill out the appropriate information and return it by mail with your check to the address on the form.
