Program Details

Hours: Office & Pharmacy hours: Monday- Friday 8AM-4:30PM. Closed on Sat & Sun.
Eligibility: Any age, income must be under 200% of federal poverty level and must be uninsured
Fees: None at present
Intake Process: Application available online or can call. When calling, can ask for pharmacist Andrea Rogers, RPh.

Program Description:

Non-profit agency providing assistance with prescription medications using pharmaceutical company patient assistance programs. The NC MedAssist pharmacy provides free medications from their formulary to uninsured people whose income falls at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Level. People of all ages may apply. Those with Medicare and in the coverage gap may receive help on a case-by-case basis. Now serves all of North Carolina. Clients outside of Mecklenburg County will pick up their medications from their local free clinic, health department, or rural health clinic. In Wake County, Open Door Clinic, Alliance Medical Ministry, and Raleigh Rescue Mission are partner agencies.
